While struggling to deal with his alopecia and mental health issues Tejai was also having an internal battle with regard to his sexuality. It was like a warzone inside his head that he could not escape. He spent the next two years trying to find who he was within himself - he was tired of running. As hard as it was, Tejai used this time to break free of the mould he had set for himself and come to terms with his condition and sexuality.

For this shoot, the models are two Omani sisters. The eldest sister, Lamees, wears a dress with a Mariella print, a vintage check jacket in black and white, and a second shirt with a tie constructed from a scrap of fabric. Nagwa is dressed in a black thrift store skirt and an up-cycled men’s high-collar white shirt with an exaggerated collar.

With Ballroom communities worldwide, Cardiff has become Wales' first epicentre for Ballroom culture and has amassed a small but thriving community. Since its creation, Ballroom culture has played an extremely important role in American LGBT+ communities especially, with participants forming 'houses' that functioned as an extended family.

The Welsh Ballroom Community has received international recognition since its creation during the lockdown in 2020. The community has evolved into a vibrant celebration of queer identity in Wales and offers a safe space for people to connect and meet like-minded people.
These images were made In the Valleys of South Wales, the Landscape serves to define the Welsh heritage in which these individuals live or have grown up. The outfits were made from donated by seven different Fashion designers from South Wales from recycled Welsh Flags.
